Prime Lab Dental Studios

Technology

A fully digital lab, built for predictable results.

Prime Lab Dental Studios pairs advanced CAD/CAM with clinician-centred judgement. Send us a scan from any major system or a conventional impression, and we plan, build and quality-check the case around the result you need in the chair.

Aesthetic Smile Makeovers

Digital smile design and premium layered ceramics, shade-matched by hand for the aesthetic zone.

We plan aesthetic cases digitally, so you and your patient can preview the outcome before any preparation begins.

Anterior units are built in layered ceramics on an Ivoclar workflow, with hand-applied porcelain for the depth and incisal character a natural smile needs.

Every shade is matched to the adjacent dentition from your photos, so the result reads naturally in the mouth, not just on the model.

  • Digital smile design & shareable previews
  • Veneers & layered ceramic restorations
  • Custom hand shade-matching
  • Anterior aesthetic case planning

Digital Dentistry

A fully digital laboratory workflow, from intraoral scan to final restoration.

Our workflow is fully digital and flexible for conventional impressions, so you can work the way that suits each case.

Advanced CAD/CAM design is paired with expert technician review at every stage, because while software gets a case close, an experienced technician ensures flawless final results.

Full-arch implant case planning by Prime Lab Dental Studios

Complex Case Planning

Implant, full-arch and aesthetic case planning, led by clinical judgement.

We help plan implant, full-arch and aesthetic cases before treatment begins, so the restorative endpoint drives the surgery, not the other way around.

Digital diagnostic wax-ups let you preview the design and share a rotatable, zoomable version with your patient, and we can overlay it as a reduction guide for prep day.

For guided surgery we produce digitally planned, validated surgical guides, and we are on hand for technical support throughout the case.

  • Implant & full-arch planning
  • Digital diagnostic wax-ups
  • Shareable rotate/zoom previews
  • Digitally planned surgical guides
  • Verification jigs for passive fit

Materials

The systems we build with.

We work with proven material systems and choose the right one per clinical case, never a one-size-fits-all default.

Whitepeaks

High-strength zirconia and titanium for monolithic and layered frameworks and Ti-bases.

Ivoclar

IPS e.max lithium disilicate and ceramic layering for aesthetic anterior crowns and veneers.

Aidite

Multilayer zirconia systems for natural translucency across the shade gradient.

Keystone Industries

Gold-standard Keysplint resin for durable occlusal splints and night guards.

Erkodent

Thermoforming systems for clear retainers, splints and whitening trays, with materials sourced locally in Western Australia.

Vertex

Proven denture base materials for complete and partial prosthetics.

Quality control

Every restoration passes a five-point check before it leaves the lab:

  • Margin integrity and fit verification
  • Occlusal and proximal contact assessment
  • Material and shade verification
  • Surface characterisation and polish
  • Final quality assurance prior to dispatch

Inspection & metrology

We measure the finished work, not just the design.

Design software tells you what a restoration should be. Inspection tells you what it actually is. For selected workflows we use ZEISS inspection technology to compare the manufactured component against the digital design it came from, at sub-micron resolution.

It is non-destructive, so the piece being measured is the piece that goes to you.

What ZEISS inspection gives a case

  • Fit, verified against the design. Milled and printed crowns, bridges and frameworks compared with their CAD geometry rather than checked by eye on a model.
  • Inside the component, without cutting it. X-ray CT shows internal voids and porosity in titanium and zirconia parts, which a surface check cannot reach.
  • Numbers, not impressions. Metrology software reports deviation as a measurement, so a pass is a figure and a problem is traceable to where it happened.
  • Documentation when it is needed. The same measurements support the record-keeping expected of medical device manufacture for the cases that require it.

Used on selected workflows, where the case or the component calls for it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What dentists ask us most.

Scanners, conventional impressions, complex-case planning and how we keep results predictable, answered upfront.

No. We accept open STL, PLY and OBJ files and connect directly with 3Shape TRIOS, Medit, iTero, Dentsply Sirona Primescan and Omnicam and Shining 3D. Search Prime Lab Dental Studios in your scanner's lab directory, or send exported files with no extra setup.

Yes. For cases where the shade has to be right first time, an anterior crown or a veneer case, you can send the patient to us in West Leederville and a technician will match the shade at the bench against the materials the case will actually be made from. Call us to arrange a time that suits them.

Yes. Our workflow is fully digital but flexible for conventional impressions, so you can work the way that suits each case. We digitise your impression or model and proceed from there.

Yes. We plan implant, full-arch and aesthetic cases before treatment begins, produce digital diagnostic wax-ups you can share with the patient, and make digitally planned, validated surgical guides for guided surgery.

Advanced CAD/CAM design is reviewed by an experienced technician at every stage, and every case passes a five-point quality check before dispatch. On multi-implant cases we also provide a verification jig to confirm a passive fit.

Yes. Our digital diagnostic wax-ups can be shared as a rotatable, zoomable preview and overlaid as a reduction guide for prep day, so the patient understands the plan and you prepare with confidence.
