Frequently asked questions
Every case is manufactured in our West Leederville laboratory. If you would rather talk a case through before you send it, we would prefer that too.
Yes. All Prime Lab Dental Studios restorations and appliances are manufactured locally in our West Leederville laboratory. We maintain control of the workflow from design through to manufacture and final quality checks.
We provide a broad range of fixed and removable dental laboratory services, including monolithic and layered zirconia, e.max, implant restorations, bridges, digital dentures, splints, mouthguards, diagnostic models and digital wax-ups.
Yes. Prime Lab Dental Studios is set up for a fully digital workflow and accepts digital cases from the major intraoral scanning systems. Contact us if you need assistance connecting your scanner to the lab.
Yes. While we specialise in digital workflows, we can also accept conventional impressions and incorporate them into our digital production process where appropriate.
Turnaround varies depending on the restoration and complexity of the case. We aim to provide reliable, predictable turnaround times and will advise you promptly if a complex case requires additional time.
Absolutely. We encourage clinicians to contact us before submitting complex, implant, aesthetic or full-arch cases. Direct communication between the clinician and technician can make a significant difference to the final outcome.
Yes. We provide implant crowns, custom abutments and more complex implant solutions. We can also assist with component selection and treatment planning from a laboratory perspective.
We select zirconia according to the clinical requirements of the restoration rather than using one material for every indication. Factors such as strength, translucency, restoration thickness and position are considered when selecting the appropriate material.
Yes. Complimentary in-laboratory shade taking is available by appointment. This allows us to assess shade, characterisation and other aesthetic details directly with the patient.

Our workflows incorporate digital quality-control processes, including verification of relevant designs and manufactured components. For selected workflows we also use ZEISS inspection technology to compare manufactured outcomes with the intended digital design.
Yes. Digital dentures are one of our key areas of focus. Digital workflows can provide excellent reproducibility and allow case data to be retained, which can simplify future replacement or reproduction.
Yes. With extensive experience across conventional and digital dental technology, we particularly enjoy cases that require planning, problem-solving and close communication between clinician and technician.
Where production capacity allows, yes. Contact the lab before sending an urgent case so we can confirm whether your required turnaround can be achieved.
Yes. We provide complimentary pickup and delivery for practices within our Perth metropolitan service area.
